Sugar Train (nearside) upsides Firm Order
SUGAR TRAIN, one of the two horses in the Cropredy Lawn Racing syndicate, has a fine pedigree and should be another addition to the roll of honour by sire, Rail Link.
Juddmonte Farms’ stallion, Rail Link, who was European Champion 3yo and who won the 2006 Arc de Triomphe , has sired the winners of nearly 200 races and his progeny have won over £2.5 million in prize money.
Rail Link was the leading British-based third crop sire last year with 45% winners to runners. While he can sire 2yo winners, his progeny tend to progress with age and distance.
Sugar Train is out of a Sadler’s Wells’ mare and is a half-sister to a Group One winner, Stand To Gain. This beautifully bred 4yo gelding is showing plenty at home and is due to make his bumper debut before the end of November.
