DEAN IVORY IN GOOD FORM

Dual juvenile winner, Rosie’s Premiere

DEAN IVORY’S Harper Lodge Farm Stables has ended September in good form with three winners and a second last week from the last five runners.

Varsovian, Rosie’s Premiere and Tagula Night all won under Seb Sanders, Robert Winston and Franny Norton respectively while Stake Acclaim was second in a Newmarket maiden.

Two-year-old, Rosie’s Premiere was winning her second race from seven career starts and she has never been out of the prize money.

Dean was telling me recently that he felt the (turf) season was going to end too soon for the yard and recent results would seem to bear that out.  The stable took a long while to get into gear this season with the horses not firing due to a bug in the yard.  Nevertheless, while the stable will not match last year’s record year, prize money is at £225,000, the second highest since Dean took out a licence in 2002.

There will be plenty of runners before the turf season ends in early November while many horses will be kept busy on the all-weather until the end of the year.
