VALE OF YORK – A BREEDERS’ CUP WINNER

Solario Racing’s Vale Of York Yearling

SOLARIO RACING bought a lovely Vale Of York yearling colt at last week’s DBS Premier Yearling Sales for £22,000.

Vale Of York was a Godolphin-trained son of Invincible Spirit, a Group One winner of the Haydock Sprint Cup, whose progeny have done well at two but who train on at three.

Certainly Vale Of York was a 2yo, winning over 7f first time up at York before winning at Goodwood in a 7f Listed race.  Third in the Group 2 Royal Lodge at Ascot over a mile, he was second to Hearts Of Fire in a Group One in Milan, again over a mile.

Success at the highest level came for “Vale” at Santa Anita with a win in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile over 1m 1/2 furlong in November, just four months after his debut.

The sire has made a cracking start to his stallion career with nine individual winners in Britain at a strike rate of 30%, putting him seventh in the GB/Ireland league table of first season sires.

If you wish to see our Vale Of York yearling, why not come to the Solario Racing Yearling Parade on Sunday 28th September at Dean Ivory’s Stables?

Please call the Racing Office on 01442 877 597 or email info@solarioracing.com to book your place.  Family and friends are most welcome.
