DEAN IVORY is off the mark for the year courtesy of Shaunas Spirit who won at Kempton this evening under Adam Kirby.
The Master of Harper Lodge Farm enjoyed a record year in 2013 with 39 winners and £367,000 in prize money but he has had a quieter start to this year. Horses have been knocking at the door and indeed before this evening, just under a third had been placed. But it’s winners that really count and Dean will be pleased to be up and running.
Shaunas Spirit likes the polytrack and in particular Kempton, where she has now won five races, including three over today’s trip of 7f. She also gets on well with Adam Kirby for whom this was his fourth win on the 6yo Antonius Pius filly from just six rides.
Solario Racing has two horses in training with Dean Ivory including a lovely 2yo by up and coming stallion Thewayyouare. The chestnut from the family of Group One winners, Vert Amande, Indian Rose and subsequent sire, Groom Dancer, is available in 1/12th shares.
To come and see the horse on the gallops, please call the Racing Office on 01442 877 597 or email info@solarioracing.com. Family and friends are most welcome.
