THEWAYYOUARE STRIKES DOWN UNDER!

Solario Racing Thewayyouare 2yo cantering upsides

THEWAYYOUARE has not only made an impact with his first crop in Europe but has also struck down under with his first Stakes winner in the southern hemisphere courtesy of Prince Mambo.

The 2yo won a Listed race over 1200 metres at Matamata in New Zealand at the back end of February for trainer Stephen McKee, showing a strong burst of speed to win by half a length.

The winning trainer has high hopes for his juvenile and indicated that Prince Mambo would now be aimed at Group I assignments, with both the Haunui Farm Diamond Stakes (1200m) on March 8 at Ellerslie, and the Oaks Stud Manawatu Sires’ Produce Stakes on March 29 at Awapuni as short-term targets.

“He’s an improving horse who appeals to me as a nice Guineas horse for next year,” McKee said.

Thewayyouare made a great start in the northern hemisphere last year with winning progeny including Toast Of New York and Never To Be,  both dual juvenile winners for trainers Jamie Osborne and John Gosden.  They are entered respectively in the Irish and English Derbys.

Solario Racing has a very exciting 2yo from Thewayyouare’s second crop in training with Dean Ivory.  He cost £18,000, is a February foal and is from the family of Group One winners, Vert Amande, Indian Rose and subsequent stallion Groom Dancer.

There are limited 1/12th shares available, so if you wish to find out more, why not come and see the horse for yourself on Dean Ivory’s gallops?  Private viewings can be arranged for during the week or on a Saturday.  Please call the Solario Racing Office on 01442 877 597 or email info@solarioracing.com to book your viewing.
