Owners’ Christmas Lunch
SOLARIO RACING held its Owners’ Christmas lunch yesterday in a private room at a new venue and a record turn-out of owners enjoyed a fabulous afternoon.
The highly recommended St James restaurant in Bushey was the setting for a wonderful three course lunch as owners from came from as far afield as Nottinghamshire, Worcestershire and Hampshire to wine and dine. All five Solario Racing syndicates were represented including some new owners in the yearling by Thewayyouare.
The now customary Racing Manager’s quiz pitted the three tables against eachother and despite calls for a Stewards’ Enquiry, Table Number One at which yours truly was seated, won by a narrow margin.
After some four and a half hours of good food, fine wine and great company, owners wound their way home, perhaps a few pounds heavier than when they started out!
