WONDERFUL TURNOUT AT SOLARIO RACING PARADE

hundred owners and prospective owners basked in autumnal sunshine at Solario Racing’s Yearling Parade yesterday.

Proceedings officially began at 10am, although a few early birds were queueing at the gates of Harper Lodge Farm at 9.40.  There was a fabulous atmosphere around the yard with the place still buzzing after Dean Ivory’s superb Group 3 victory at Ascot the day before courtesy of Tropics.

After initial teas and coffees, the large crowd gathered in the canter circle to see all four Solario Racing horses.  Three-year-olds Chiltern Secret and Gunning For Glory were ridden as a pair at the trot and canter and both looked in good order following their summer break.

Amadiva, the beautifully bred Amadeus Wolf filly looked an absolute picture and she did some very strong canters on both reins.  She has really blossomed throughout the summer and is ready to make her racecourse debut on 17th October.  There was a lot of interest in this filly who is being syndicated for one year in 1/12th shares.

Last but not least, Thewayyouare yearling was paraded and he too looked in rude health.  Rather unruly when he arrived from the sales at the back end of August, he was soon gelded and it has been the making of him.  His manners have improved no end, although he still managed to have a nip at Adrian who was leading him round yesterday!

After seeing the horses being exercised, it was time to look around the yard before indulging in some Solario Racing champagne and canapés hospitality.

Unseasonably fine weather, well-behaved horse and free-flowing champagne clearly make for a very good mix as business in both Amadiva and the yearling was very brisk.

If you came yesterday (or indeed if you didn’t) but would like a personal tour of the stables comprising an opportunity to see the horses on the gallops, please call the Racing Office on 01442 877 597.  Visits can be booked for during the week or on a Saturday and family and friends are most welcome.
