DEAN IVORY’S fantastic season took another step forward today with the win of the admirably consistent Fossa at Wolverhampton and the Radlett trainer is now just two wins short of a record year.
The 3yo son of Dubai Destination is a model of consistency, having now won four of his last eight starts, all on the all-weather and he brought up win number 32 for the Master of Harper Lodge Farm.
Robert Winston, who had a 44% strike rate on Dean’s horses this year going into today’s race, never had an anxious moment on Fossa as the pair came home two and three-quarter lengths to the good in the 7f handicap.
Dean’s 32 wins have been achieved among a stable of just 38 horses at a remarkable strike rate of 19% and with prize money at a record £258,000. Despite the likes of stable star, Tropics and Fossa having won four races apiece, the stable has produced 18 individual winners.
Solario Racing is in exceptionally good hands and we eagerly await our first Yearling Parade at Harper Lodge Farm on Sunday 6 October.
