DANCINGINTHEWOODS makes his Tapeta debut tomorrow at Southwell (4.38pm) in a bid to make it back-to-back wins, after his all-weather debut success at Kempton last month.
He is one of 14 runners in the 0-85 handicap over 7f, a trip he won over for the first time under Frederick Larson, who is again in the plate, claiming 3lbs. Last time it was an apprentice handicap and Freddy could not claim but tomorrow he can take off 3lbs, which will more than negate the two pounds he went up for his three-quarters of a length win last time out.
He is drawn 7 of 14 which should be fine, is in good form at home and although there’s a well-backed Godolphin hotpot, Global Walk, in the field, “Woody” looks great each-value at 15/2.
Amy also runs George Morland at Southwell half an hour earlier at 4.08pm in a mile handicap and he has Taylor Fisher in the saddle claiming 7lbs. At 9/1, he’d have an each-way squeak.
Finally, at Kempton, Just Dashing, has his first run for Amy in a nursery over 6f. Unfortunately, the former Richard Hannon inmate, is berthed in the car park (12 of 12) but David Egan rides and at 33/1, he isn’t without place claims at least, if he can overcome the draw.
Good luck to all runners, especially “Woody” and Solario Racing (Ashridge)!
