SHARP DISTINCTION, owned by Solario Racing (Berkhamsted) faces 19 opponents tomorrow at Doncaster (5.10pm) in a competitive 10 furlong handicap for 3yos and upwards rated 0-75.
He will appreciate the soft underfoot conditions and the drop back in trip from 1m3f to 1m2f should suit. He is running off a mark of 71 and jockey Stefano Cherchi rides, claiming 3lbs. The draw, 8 of 20 is of no real consequence but there are plenty of proven horses and those with potential which will make his task a difficult one.
He is currently as big as 20/1 in the market and quite weak but is not without an outside chance. Dangers abound include potential improver, 3yo Morning Sun and last year’s wiinner, Mustazeed.
Amy also runs Chateau d’If in the 5.15 at Newcastle, a mile handicap. Ryan Sexton, rides, claiming 5lbs on the 20/1 shot.
