CHARMING KID THE PICK OF IVORY HORSES

Charming Kid – runs at Southwell

DEAN IVORY runs four today, two at Kempton and two at Southwell and Charming Kid, in the opener could be the best hope of a winner in the opener at the Midlands track in a 5f handicap.

He is around 4/1, has been quite strong in the market and if taking to the new Tapeta surface at Southwell, has good each-way chances under P J McDonald.  However, Tropics in the same race looks a massive each-way price at 20/1 especially with Callum Hutchinson claiming five.

At Kempton, Solario Racing runs Twilight Bay in the 4.15, a fillies’ novice stakes over 7f.  Charlie Bennett rides the filly over a trip which is likely to stretch her stamina.  She is a big outsider at 50/1 and will better off when handicapping.

Dors Toyboy, in good form of late, is a big price too in the 7.15 at the Sunbury track under Jimmy Quinn but cannot be dismissed in the 7f handicap although he is badly draw in 13.  However, at 22/1 he might be worth chancing each-way.

Finally, Amy Murphy’s Kalmoor looks an each-way player with Jack Quinlan in the saddle in the 12.50 at Uttoxeter, a 2m4f novice chase.  Related to the stable’s Grade One winner, Kalashnikov, he’s very solid at 7/2.
