THOMAS EQUINAS runs in the first at Kempton today, a 13-runner restricted maiden stakes over 7f, due off at 4.45pm and he needs to step up on his debut third at Newmarket to trouble the judge.
His third was in just a four-runner affair and he was beaten 10 1/2 lengths and both the winner and runner-up’s subsequent runs have done nothing for the form since. Admittedly the stable runner was green on his debut but he’s going to have to find a lot of improvement to beat the well-backed favourite in today’s contest, Testing Faith.
Robert Winston rides “Thomas”, who is a market drifter out to 18/1. He would have an each-way squeak but he’ll be seen in a better light when handicapping.
