TWILIGHT BAY FACES TOUGH TASK ON RACECOURSE DEBUT

Twilight Bay - makes debut at Chelmsford

Twilight Bay – makes debut at Chelmsford

TWILIGHT BAY makes her long awaited racecourse appearance today when one of 14 lining up for a 6f fillies’ restricted novice event at 3.25pm at Chelmsford and she looks to face a tall order.

The daughter of Twilight Son is only one of two fillies who have no previous racecourse experience, three of the field are rated 77 or higher and one filly, Pure Charmer, has raced 11 times.  The other fact which will make life difficult for the mount of Robert Winston is her draw, 14 of 14.

She has ability and hopefully the 25/1 shot can tuck in, learn something on today’s debut and do her best work at the finish.  It’s a tricky contest to call but Macon Belle and the well supported Kape Moss could go well.

Good luck to connections of Twilight Bay, Solario Racing (Childwickbury)!

Dean has a chance of back-to-back wins with Broxi an hour later at 4.25pm in a competitive 7f handicap.   She’s still well handicapped on her juvenile form and if Robert Winston can give her the same enterprising ride as he did last time out at Yarmouth, he would have each-way claims at 12/1, if handling the return to the all-weather.
