Hot Chesnut – runs at Kempton tonight
THE STABLE runs three today with Moonlit Cloud and Broxi at Yarmouth (4.25pm and 4.55pm respectively) while Hot Chesnut runs in the 8 o’clock at Kempton and the last of the trio, despite weak in the betting, looks interesting.
The half-sister to the yard’s Fighting Temeraire has drifted out to 10/1 but she’s a filly with ability, is knocking at the door, having been 432 in her last three outings and has the assistance of Adam Kirby in the saddle.
The step back up to 7f should suit and if she can overcome a not very good draw (eight of nine), she should be competitive.
At Yarmouth, Moonlit Cloud is a 20/1 shot in a 7f handicap and the drop back from a mile is not certain to suit. Jimmy Quinn is on board and interestingly, it’s his only ride of the day. Nevertheless, the daughter of Sea The Moon, has to improve on recent efforts to trouble the judge.
Finally, the increasingly well handicapped but also frustrating Broxi runs half an hour later in a 7f handicap. Maybe Robert Winston can get a tune out of the 3yo filly, who is weak in the market, out to 8/1,
