DEAN sends out three runners today, Stake Acclaim at Nottingham (4.30pm) and both Badenscoth and Nezar at Kempton (6.30pm and 8pm respectively) and the last of the trio could be the pick.
He is one of 14 runners in a 7f handicap and although he has never won at Kempton, he has been second on five occasions, this is his ideal trip and he’s just a pound higher than a winning mark. Sophie Ralston, who has won on him, is on board and at 12/1, he’s an each-way player.
The other Kempton runner, Badenscoth, the mount of Shane Kelly, is the outsider of the party at 66/1 as he makes his first appearance at a track in 334 days over a 1m3f trip which is probably beyond his ideal trip. He is sure to come on for the run.
Stake Acclaim would prefer more ease in the ground at Nottingham in a 5f handicap which probably explains his weakness in the market at 16/1. Callum Hutchinson rides, claiming five.
