Sophie Ralston – rides Kerrera at Chelmsford
KERRERA, who has been knocking at the door of late, tries to make it win number three today when one of 12 runners in the 0-55 handicap over a mile at Chelmsford today (4.10pm).
The 8yo daughter of Champs Elysees is hard to win with as her record of just two victories in 35 starts indicates but despite being a pound “wrong” at the weights, she would have an each-way squeak at around 7/1 under Sophie Ralston, who claims 5lbs and knows her well.
A course and distance winner, she at least goes into the race in fair form. In an open contest, she may have most to fear from 3yo Pop Favorite.
