THE TAMAYUZ 2YO, a very good-looking, strong chestnut out of a winning Pivotal mare, is almost fully syndicated with just two shares available.
Purchased at last year’s Tattersalls October Yearling Sales for 22,000 guineas, this half-brother to three individual winners, is being syndicated in 1/12th shares and there has been enormous interest in him during the last month.
He has been impressing trainer, Dean Ivory, his regular rider, jockey, Sophie Ralston and yours truly, improving in each piece of work. David Dugdale, a partner at Newmarket Equine Hospital, who vetted the yearling before Solario Racing bought him, described him as a “strong individual with a good size and plenty of substance. Good conformation. Vets well. (5/5).”
He was sired by Tamayuz, a dual Group One winner and a top-class miler as a 3yo and from the family of outstanding broodmare, Urban Sea (dam of Galileo and Sea The Stars). As a stallion Tamayuz has sired the winners of 500 races and his progeny have won over £10.25 million in prize money.
The dam, Pin Cushion, was a winner at three over 6f and rated 79 at her peak. She has produced three winners, including six-times winner, Lethal Lunch, who is rated 89 and has been 98.
The as yet unnamed Tamayuz 2yo impressed in his first racecourse gallop at Kempton and the plan is for him to go for another one before he makes his racecourse debut in September. He will probably start off over 7f or a mile and will need a galloping track as he has such a long stride on him.
The horse will be named on Wednesday 25 August, so if you would like to get involved in a very exciting syndicate horse and take part in the naming process, why not come and see him for yourself?
