Sophie Ralston – rides both Brighton runners
KERRERA and SOARING SPIRITS face tough task tonight at Brighton in the 8.05 and the 8.35 respectively as they are both running in handicaps off higher than their official marks.
They both run in different divisions of the 0-55 handicap over a mile and both are the mounts of Sophie Ralston. Kerrera is 4lbs “wrong” and has a poor strike rate with just two wins in 33 starts. She is as big as 50/1 in a place in the 10-runner contest and needs to show big improvement in the first first division to trouble the judge.
Soaring Spirits is 6lbs “wrong” but does have good course and distance form and has just five opponents. The veteran is around 7/1.
