NEWMARKET RUNNERS COULD OUTRUN THEIR PRICE

Hot Chesnut - makes handicap debut at HQ

Hot Chesnut – makes handicap debut at HQ

DEAN runs three today including two at Newmarket, Hot Chesnut (2.45pm) and Broxi (4.30pm) and both HQ runners could outrun their 40/1 and 33/1 respective price tags.

The former is a 3yo half-sister to Fighting Temeraire and is making her handicap debut for fillies only over 6f and having shown ability on the all-weather over 7f, she could appreciate this drop down to six.  George Downing rides the filly who is too big a price at 40/1.

George is also aboard Broxi, a dual winner for previous trainer, Keith Dalglish, over 7f.  She’s also over 6f today, has winning form on today’s Good to Soft conditions and has first-time cheekpieces.  Again, her price of 33/1 looks way too big.  Gellhorn and Inver Park look two interesting opponents in an open race.

At Lingfield, Laurentia is a 14/1 shot in a six-runner handicap over 7 1/2 furlongs.  Although a four-time winner, her two runs on the grass yielded little including on Good to Soft.  She has it all to do under Sophie Ralston.
