SOLARIO RACING has had three top jockeys ride Dancinginthewoods this year in Adam Kirby, Hollie Doyle and Tom Marquand and we are delighted to secure the services of another top flight jockey in Jamie Spencer at Nottingham today in the 2.45, a 0-90 6f handicap for 4yos and upwards.
Only seven go to post and the ground, Good To Firm, will suit the dual-winning son of Garswood as will Jamie Spencer’s come from behind style of riding. The former British and Irish champion jockey is fairly selective in what he rides these days, so it’s a good sign his agent was keen for him to take the ride.
It’s a competitive contest with the favourite, Muscika and Wentworth Falls possibly the two main dangers. Hopefully, Jamie can hold Woody up and drop him right on the line. He’s around 4/1 and very strong in the market.
The stable could have a double as Moonlit Cloud runs in the 1.35, an 11-runner novice over 1m 1/2f and the daughter of Sea The Moon looks to prove that her fairy close 6th on her debut last month over course and distance at 200/1 was no fluke.
The form of her first run has been franked with the fifth and third having won since while the second was beaten a head and the winner has been third in a Listed contest.
The stable’s horses nearly always improve for a run and one of the market leaders at 7/2 should run a big race under Ryan Tate. Matamua is the form horse and could give Moonlit Cloud most to do.
Good Luck to owners, Solario Racing (Ashridge) and Dr Anne J Gillespie!
