Flaming Spear – runs at Kempton
FLAMING SPEAR runs in the 7.30 at Kempton tonight and though not the force of old, he has tumbled down the weights since his last win in November 2018 and he has an each-way chance under Sophie Ralston who claims 5lbs.
His last win was off 109 over a mile at Kempton and today he runs off 81. He’s drawn widest of all in nine over this 7f trip but if he and Sophie can overcome this, he’s worth a second look at around 15/2.
Dangers include Quick Breath and Love Dreams and don’t discount Spring Romance, who hacked up over course and distance last year.
