BOTH two-year-olds went upsides eachother for the first time on Saturday and despite the difference in gender, they both behaved themselves and got on with the task in hand!

The Indesatchel colt and Sakhee’s Secret filly had been upsides another horse just once before but this was the first time they had accompanied eachother!

The first time they went up the gallops was..well, let’s say it was a dress rehearsal, as to call it an upsides canter would be stretching the credulity of the English language.

However, after a few short words from the trainer, the jockeys repeated the exercise and it went much more according to plan with the two youngsters doing a proper canter upsides.

Who went the better?  That would be a little like asking “Was Fabio pushed, or did he jump?”

No, seriously, the filly had the advantage of being next to the rail, so she “looked” better but they both went nicely.

If you would like to come and see two very exciting youngsters at our Gallops Morning on Sunday 25 March, please contact the Racing Office on 01442 877 597 to book your place.
