HOT CHESNUT looks to have it all to do today when lining up for the opener at Chelmsford, a 7f Median Auction Novice Stakes, due off at 5.10pm.
She’s a 25/1 shot today and the 3yo ran well on her debut at Lingfield but then was very disappointing at Kempton next time out. She needs this third run to qualify for a handicap mark.
Darragh Keenan takes the ride as George Downing cannot do the weight in a race in which the favourite, Carolus Magnus will be hard to beat.
The yard runs two in the 7.45 at Chelmsford (a mile handicap) Nicky Baby and Soaring Spirits. The former, an 11/1 chance has had plenty of chances but he might be worth one more each-way under 3lb claimer, Ray Dawson. The latter is 501/ for Dougie Costello.
