THE STABLE runs four at Kempton tonight, Nezar (4.45pm) Lothario (7.15pm) Soaring Spirits (7.45pm) and Nicky Baby (8.15pm) and all four are weak in the market and have a lot to prove.
Nezar would prefer 7f rather than 6f and is better at Wolverhampton. He’s a 14/1 shot under Sophie Ralston.
George Downing is aboard both Lothario, who is well handicapped but keeps finding excuses not to win and Soaring Spirits, an 80/1 shot who hasn’t run for 379 days and was last on his sole start last year.
Sophie Ralston rides Nicky Baby in the last and the grey gelding who has won just once in 43 starts, is 33/1 to make it a second win.
The yard is in better form now but today’s four runners are the stable’s lesser lights and although Lothario won this race two years ago, he was bitterly disappointing last time out. He could win but he’s hardly one to trust.
