Lothario – runs at Lingfield
LOTHARIO continues to get beaten and as a result he continues to drop down the handicap and today he races at Lingfield in the 4.05, a mile handicap, off 57, his lowest ever rating but is he a betting proposition?
This course and distance winner won at the track off a mark of 70 in 2019, so there is no doubting he is well handicapped but in all his recent races, he never really looked liked striking a blow. He hasn’t been in the frame in his last 10 outings and the stable is still searching for that elusive first winner of the year.
The horse, the mount of George Downing, is weak in the market at 13/2. Dangers included Afro Blue and Corrida De Toros.
The stable also runs Nicky Baby at the track in the 3.30, the first division of the same mile handicap. Sophie Ralston rides the 40/1 outsider of nine. Mercurist looks a worthy favourite.
