DORS TOYBOY and STAKE ACCLAIM are the stable’s two runners today, both at Lingfield in the 2.36 and the 3.45 respectively and the latter, although he has lost his way of late, is no forlorn hope at a double figure price, around 20/1.
He has had his issues and as a result, has plummeted down the weights to a mark of 76. Last time out, he showed signs of a revival when beaten three lengths at Southwell. Today, eight go to post in the 5f handicap and with first time blinkers, he has an each-way chance under George Downing. Raasel, the favourite is an obvious danger.
Earlier at 2.36pm, Dors Toyboy bids to break his duck at the 14th attempt in a 7f Classified Stakes. If first-time cheek-pieces work, he could reward each-way backers at 8/1. Again, George Downing takes the ride.
