Laurentia – bidding for fifth win
LAURENTIA, who has won four of her last six starts, bids to make it win number five at Chelmsford tonight in the 7.45, an eight-runner 10 furlong handicap.
She was put up 3lbs for a short head victory last time out at Lingfield, so the handicapper might be close to getting a grip on her but she should run her race under George Downing and has each-way claims at 9/1. The well-backed Fortune Finder looks a big threat.
At Southwell, Nezar and Dors Toyboy are 20/1 and 40/1 respectively for the 2.10 and 3.45. Neither have raced at Southwell before, so it’s a guessing game as to how they’re fare but the former would have an each-way chance at 20/1 under Rob Hornby if he does act on the fibresand. Jimmy Quinn rides Dors Toyboy who has to improve on his eight starts to date.
