TAMAYUZ was not only a top class racehorse winning two Group Ones as a 3yo but since he was retired to Derrinstown Stud in 2009, he has been a constant source of winners and has been a sire at the highest level, producing Group One winners including French 1000 Guineas winner, Precieuse.
On the racecourse, the Freddie Head trained Tamayuz won the prestigious Group One French races, the Jean Prat and the Jacques Le Marois. Bred and Owned by Sheikh Hamdan, he is by another great Shadwell Stud racehorse and sire, Nayef, who was a four-times Group One winner and a half-brother to a 2000 Guineas and Derby winner, the great Nashwan.
His pedigree is certainly blue-blooded as he is from the family of the great Urban Sea, winner of the 1993 Prix de L’Arc de Triomphe and one of the greatest broodmare sires of all time, being responsible for the all-conquering Galileo and the scintillating six-times winning Group One winner, Sea The Stars.
As a sire, Tamayuz has followed in his father’s illustrious footsteps, producing the winners of over 500 races and £10.25 million in prize money. As well as Precieuse, he has sired Group One winners, G Force, winner of the Betfred Sprint Cup at Haydock, Blond Me, the 2017 winner of the famous Canadian 10 furlong race, the E P Taylor Stakes and most recently, Mustashry, who was victorious in last year’s running of the Lockinge.
Sires go in and out of fashion but Tamayuz offspring have delivered year after year, so Solario Racing was delighted to purchase its first ever son of the Shadwell stallion at this year’s Tattersalls Yearling Sales for just 22,000 guineas.
Solario Racing’s strong, imposing chestnut son of Tamayuz out of a Pivotal mare, Pin Cushion, is being syndicated in 1/12th shares and is available for socially-distanced private viewings at Childwickbury Stud.
