SPRING ROMANCE runs in the 7.40 at Wolverhampton tonight and he is blinkered for the second time, having been completely wiped out by a rival in his last race, when blinkered for the first time, also at Dunstall Park earlier this month.
The five-times winning 5yo son of Zebedee is very well handicapped (10lbs lower than his highest winning mark) and he has good form at Wolverhampton, having been first and second from three starts there.
Drawn 6 of 11, he has George Downing again in the saddle and the jockey felt the pair had no chance last time out after being barged out of the way soon after the start. Granted a clear run, the 12/1 shot should run a big race with Global Humor and Sfumato two of the main dangers.
