DANCINGINTHEWOODS BACK ON FAVOURED FAST GROUND

Dancinginthewoods - gets his ground at Newmarket

Dancinginthewoods – gets his ground at Newmarket

DANCINGINTHEWOODS runs in the 3.15 at Newmarket today and the 3yo son of Garswood will get his favoured quick ground in the 3yo 7f 0-85 handicap.

He came unstuck in gluey ground at Ascot 15 days ago when seventh, beaten seven lengths but all his best form has been on good to firm ground.  He won on his debut as a 2yo over 6f at today’s Rowley Mile course when the going was Good to Firm and the same going description applied when he was just touched off on the July course five weeks ago.

Nine runners go to post and Joey Haynes, who has always ridden him is as usual on board.  He’s an 8/1 shot and looks good each-way value.  In terms of dangers, the Godolphin horse, Arabic Charm is improving and could be the chief threat although Colonel Whitehead has been in good form.
