YIMOU runs in the 1.55 at Ascot today and the stable’s sole runner needs to improve and cope with the tacky ground to win.
He’s been consistent this season, having won and been third twice in four starts. Today’s ground is officially good, good to soft in places but it was definitely holding, gluey ground yesterday when Dancinginthewoods ran. Yimou likes to hear his hooves rattle and he certainly won’t be doing that today.
However, there are three non-runners which will help his cause and this front-runner might just find them out on the ground. George Downing rides the 6/1 shot who has an each-way squeak.
