DOVER LIGHT EACH-WAY SQUEAK AT LINGFIELD

Dover LIght - runs at Lingfield today

Dover LIght – runs at Lingfield today

DOVER LIGHT runs in the 6.35 at Lingfield, a 1m2f handicap and he has an each-way squeak at 10/1 under George Downing.

The stable continues to struggle for form but at least Dover Light is one of three winners since racing resumed on 1st June.  That day was over a mile at Lingfield and today is his second attempt at 10 furlongs (fared alright over the trip last time out at Windsor).  If first-time cheek-pieces work, he has a chance but confidence is tempered by the yard’s lack of form.

DOR’S TOYBOY has just his third run today, when lining up for a mile handicap at 5.35pm.  This is just his third run (handicap rules have changed since resumption of racing) but on the evidence of his first two efforts over 7f, he has to step up markedly to figure today.  George Downing rides the 50/1 outsider.
