ALSUKAR and FIGHTING TEMERAIRE represent the stable today, both at Yarmouth (3pm and 4.30pm respectively) and the former is looking to improve upon his promising fourth last time out over course and distance (1m2f) 12 days ago.
Williams Carson takes the ride on the 14/1 chance as George Downing cannot do the weight of 8st6lbs and the horse is running in first-time cheekpieces. He has an each-way chance although the favourite, Marie’s Gem will be a tough nut to crack.
Fighting Temeraire is a rather insulting price at 20/1 to win the 7f handicap at 4.30pm under George Downing after running well enough at York 15 days ago in a better race than today’s contest. He too has an each-way chance.
The stable needs to regain the winning thread at some point and although one cannot back any of the yard’s horses with confidence until they start winning, hopefully today’s two will put up a good show.
