NEZAR runs in the 6.30 at Windsor this evening in a 6f handicap and is bidding to win on the grass for the first time since successful at Ripon in June 2016.
His form with age has been much better on the all-weather and also his winning form has been over 7f. However, he’s a pound lower than his last winning turf mark and last time out, again over 6f, he ran well under today’s jockey, Sophie Ralston, who claims five.
The yard has not been in great form since resumption three weeks ago today but Nezar was second at Kempton 12 days ago and he is a course and distance winner. So, 25/1 could be a big each-way price if one is prepared to forgive the negatives!
It’s a very open 13-runner race where they go 9/2 the field.
