GREGORIAN GIRL is a general 9/1 shot at Kempton tonight (6.55pm) to put the stable back among the winners after Dover Light started the post-resumption ball rolling just under two weeks ago when winning at Lingfield.
The 4yo Gregorian filly has won twice in her career, both at Kempton and once over today’s 7f distance. She shouldn’t lack for fitness, having been for three racecourse gallops recently, each time ridden by today’s jockey, Sophie Ralston, who claims 5lbs.
She’s running today’s contest off a mark of 66, three pounds off her highest winning mark but with Sophie taking off 5lbs, she should be competitive today and looks to have a good each-way chance. She’s also drawn nicely in four. The one big concern is the stable is out of form.
Laurentia is a 40/1 chance to win a 7f handicap at the Sunbury track an hour earlier at 5.55pm. Again, Sophie Ralston rides. On all known form, the filly has it all to do.
