BADENSCOTH BIG PRICE TO DEFY ABSENCE

Badenscoth - will appreciate the rain at Newbury

Badenscoth – will appreciate the rain at Newbury

BADENSCOTH has not run for 225 days and is a 25/1 shot to defy the absence in the ITV televised 1m2f handicap at Newbury today (6.25pm).

He doesn’t have a great history of running fresh but this six-times winner could still be improving and he will like the rain which has fallen at the Berkshire track during the last 24 hours.  He won four times during the first half of last year and he wasn’t beaten far in a similar type of race as today’s when fourth at York last October under Joey Haynes who rides today.,

The son of Foxwedge would have an each-way chance but he faces tough competition in the form of Aweedram and favourite Moll Davis, who was an unlucky loser at Newcastle eight days ago.
