Near – runs at Kempton
NEZAR has won over six furlongs, the trip over which he runs at Kempton tonight in the 8.30 but these days, he’s probably better over seven.
The 9yo son of Mastercraftsman was in fairly good form before his last run in March when he was racing wide at Wolverhampton without any cover. Today, he’s drawn well, four of ten but he could probably benefit from an extra furlong. George Downing rides the chestnut gelding for the first time and bids for a second win for the yard.
The stable runner is weak in the market at 12/1 and better chances would probably go to the favourite, May Remain and Private Matter.
