“WOODY” AIMING TO GET CAREER BACK ON TRACK

DANCINGINTHEWOODS, aka “Woody”, runs at Haydock tomorrow in a bid to get his career back on track after a very disappointing last run at Newbury 263 days ago when last of 11 runners.

This 3yo colt has great form.  His Newmarket win on his debut has thrown up 11 other individual winners, including the stable’s Dover Light who won on Sunday at Lingfield.  He was fourth in the Woodcote at Epsom, beaten 8 1/4 lengths by 128-rated and 2000 Guineas third, Pinatubo.

There are a lot of positives for him.  Drawn 2 of 12 is great, the flat galloping track will suit as will the ground and he is in good form. On the downside, he is a colt and it is a long journey to Haydock.

If he behaves, “Woody” should run well in a very competitive 0-80 handicap in which all 12 runners are rated either 80 or 79.  Dangers abound including Eevilynn Drew, Mountain Brave and Glen Force.

He’s generally around 10/1 and will hopefully reward each-way backers.  Good luck to Solario Racing (Ashridge) owners who will all be “meeting up” before the off via Zoom.
