TEMERAIRE TO FIGHT BACK

Adam Kirby – rides Fighting Temeraire

FIGHTING TEMERAIRE, one of three stable runner tonight at Chelmsford, has a good chance of resuming winning ways in the 7f handicap due off at 6.30pm.

A winner over course and distance three starts ago, he can be forgiven defeats in his last two races as he was met trouble in running over a mile and then found the six furlong trip too sharp last time.  He should go close tonight, off just a pound higher than his winning mark and with Adam Kirby in the plate, Temeraire is worth a look at 7/2 in this six-runner affair.

At 8pm, Pledge Of Honour looks to have a sound each-way chance at 11/2 in an eight-runner novice over a mile with the expensive Godolphin purchase, Lord Tennyson, making his belated debut and looking a major threat as does Shine On Brendan.  Joey Haynes rides the stable runner.

Finally, Joey Haynes is also aboard Trust Me, who is a 50/1 shot in the last at 8.30pm, a mile handicap.  He’s been gelded since his last run in August but to date, he’s hardly lived up to his name!
