STEP UP TO A MILE SHOULD SUIT THE DADDY

ONE COOL DADDY should appreciate the step back up to a mile when lining up in the 6.40 at Kempton this evening.

A previous course and distance winner, things didn’t quite pan out for him last time out at the Sunbury track over 7f but the extra distance should suit, drawn four of ten is good and former champion jockey, Jim Crowley is in the saddle. At 13/2, the son of Scat Daddy looks to have a great each-way chance.  Favourite Rangali Island is all the rage and will prove a tough opponent.

Earlier in the day, apprentice Luke Bacon rides Fancy Flyer in the 7f handicap in Lingfield’s opener at 12.10pm.  Unfortunately, the pair are drawn out in the car park (12 of 13) and although a previous course and distance winner, the son of Archipenko is 8lbs higher and may struggle off that mark from the draw.  He’s a 25/1 shot in a very competitive race.
