TRIPLE TURF WINNER YIMOU INTERESTING ON ALL-WEATHER

Yimou - well backed at Wolverhampton

Yimou – well backed at Wolverhampton

YIMOU is one of two stable runners at Wolverhampton tonight and he looks interesting running on the all-weather over 5f  having won three times on the turf this season over six.

He is one of nine runners in the 0-95 handicap for 3yos and upwards (6.55pm) and the son of Kodiac has been well supported into 10/3 favourite.  Drawn well in stall one and with Martin Dwyer on board, he looks to have a good chance of making it win number four for the year.

The other runner at Dunstall Park is Archdeacon, who won last time out but that was 159 days ago.  Today, he runs over 1m 1 1/2 furlongs, the trip over which he was second at Wolverhampton on his penultimate start.  Today, the cheek pieces are dispensed with and he is weak in the market at 6/1.,  However, if he resumes in the form of his last two runs, he would have an each-way squeak under Kieran O’Neill.

Finally, old stalwart, Lancelot Du Lac starts the Harper Lodge Farm ball rolling when lining up for a 6f handicap at Kempton (6.40pm).  Adam Kirby is aboard the 16/1 shot and he does seem better on the all-weather these days.  His double figure price looks generous and not drawn badly in seven, he could outrun his price.
