SIR PRIZE BIDS TO RESUME WINNING WAYS AT KEMPTON

Sir Prize - good chance at Kempton

Sir Prize – good chance at Kempton

SIR PRIZE, winner of two of his three starts this year, may have failed to complete the hat-trick at Kempton last time out but he is second favourite to resume winning ways at the Sunbury track in the lucky last at 5.40pm.

One of just eight runners in the 1m4f handicap for 3yos rated 0-70, he has had a long break, some 185 days since his course and distance fourth and if the break has done him good, this lightly-raced son of Sir Percy should have a big say under Robert Winston.

Obvious threat is the favourite, Wanasaah, who is running under a 6lb penalty after an 8lb demolition job at Wolverhampton eight days ago.  However, this is Kempton and not Wolverhampton, so Sir Prize should give him a race at 3/1 and is fancied to get a place at least.
