IN FORM TANGRAMM A BIG DRIFTER

Tangramm - in form but weak in the betting at Newmarket

Tangramm – in form but weak in the betting at Newmarket

TANGRAMM, a winner last time out and a 50/1 second the time before, is drifting like the proverbial barge in the 5pm at Newmarket, a 10 furlong handicap.

The drying ground could be a contributory factor to his weakness in the market but this is only his fifth race on grass and he is extremely well handicapped on his best all-weather form.  Ryan Tate, who rode him the last twice, is again in the plate.

The 7yo son of Sakhee’s Secret is a 16/1 shot, which looks way overpriced for an in-form horse for an in-form yard, so he may be worth considering each-way in an open race. Favourite Cardano is an obvious threat whilst Starfighter could also figure.
