LOTHARIO BACKED TO MAKE IT WIN NUMBER TWO

Lothario -

Lothario – favourite at Chelmsford

LOTHARIO is one of three stable runners at Chelmsford tonight and one of four runners in total and he has been well supported into 3/1 favourite to oblige in the 6.20 at the Essex track.

A winner of a race at Kempton three starts back, he has been third in his last two outings, both on the all-weather, again at Kempton and then at Wolverhampton.  He needs to improve to win again but has at the very least place claims under Robert Winston in the mile handicap.  Arlecchino’s Leap looks a danger.

Robert is also aboard Badenscoth in the 7.25, a six-runner handicap over 1m2f.   This previous course winner will need luck in running given his come from behind style but at 5/1, he’s not without a chance.

The third Chelmsford runner is Dor’s Law, who is a 33/1 shot in another 1m2f handicap at 8.30.  On the face of it, this one time winner from 30 starts has it all to do but the 6yo mare is a pound below her winning mark and with Sophie Ralston (who has ridden two winners for the yard this year) taking 7lbs off, she could surprise each-way at a big price.

Tangramm starts the stable ball rolling at Sandown in the opener, another 10 handicap due off at 6pm.  However, this nine-times winner has never been successful on the turf and although well handicapped on his all-weather form, it’s not hard to see why he’s a big outsider at 66/1.  Ryan Tate rides.
