RED COSSACK and NICKY BABY both run in the lucky last at Chelmsford today (5.50pm) and the former is preferred in rather a moderate contest over a mile.
The 8yo chestnut ran his best race for a long while when second at Kempton 15 days ago and if he can translate that from back on a left-handed track, he should go close under Jack Duern who claims three pounds.
Nicky Baby has the services of 7lb claimer Sophie Ralston but the 16/1 shot needs to find a bit more for win purposes. Red Cossack, although only with one win in 36 starts has the slightly better each-way chance at 9/2.
