MONEY COMES FOR COSSACK AGAIN

Red Cossack - favourite at Chelmsford

Red Cossack – favourite at Chelmsford

RED COSSACK has come in for substantial support at Chelmsford in the opener, a Classified Stakes over a mile, due off at 4.45pm and he is as low as 5/2 favourite from 6/1.

Despite being drawn 10  despite being a beaten favourite last time out, the market has spoken in his favour and he is a warm order to win his second race in 32 starts.  On ratings, he would have a chance but there is still the strong feeling he’s a better horse at right-handed Kempton.  Maybe a new jockey in the shape of Shane Kelly can work the oracle.

By contrast, Wotamadam is a big market drifter in the second race on the card, a 7f handicap at 5.25pm.  Martin Dwyer rides the 25/1 shot and if the extra furlong helps, she might be worth a second look each-way.
