Kadrizzi – bids to end losing run

KADRIZZI is the stable’s only runner today when he lines up at Chelmsford in the 5.25 in an attempt to end a losing run which stretches back to August 2016 and comprises 21 defeats.

One of the stable stars back in 2016 when he won three times and was rated in the 100s, he’s not the force of old and the 6yo son of Hurricane Cat is now on his lowest handicap mark ever, 73.

He’s been running consistently of late but has been a very well backed favourite the last twice and never really looked like winning.  Today, with Robert Havlin in the saddle again, he’s around 6/1 in an 11-runner 7f handicap and while he needs to improve on recent efforts to get his head in front, he will surely pop in sooner or later.  He was expected to run a big race last time so maybe today’s the day in what is admittedly a trappy contest with old adversary Glen Coco looking a big threat.
