SWISS CHIME and TANGRAMM, the two stable runners today at Kempton, are both weak in the market at 10/1 and 16/1 respectively.
The former is one of six runners in the 4.45, a 5f handicap and the 3yo daughter of Swiss Spirit, who seemed to enjoy the Southwell fibresand when winning comfortably on New Year’s Day, may not me quite as comfortable on Kempton’s polytrack. She has not fared too well at Chelmsford or Lingfield in the past.
Kieran O’Neill, who won on her at Southwell, takes the ride again but even if Swiss Spirit acts at Kempton, she may have to give way to the odds-on favourite, Rock Bottom.
Tangramm is a big price in the 7.15, a 12-runner 1m3f handicap. The mount of Robert Winston, the previous prolific all-weather winner can go well fresh and is 5lbs below his last win, at Lingfield last spring. In a trappy contest, he has some each-way appeal but New Agenda would be a more solid selection.
