YIMOU FAVOURITE AT LINGFIELD

Yimou - well supported at Lingfield

Yimou – well supported at Lingfield

YIMOU has been well supported into favourite at Lingfield (3.15pm) and is as low as 2/1.

The ex-Gosden son of Kodiac is one of seven runners in the novice stakes over a mile and he looks interesting on his debut second at Chelmsford back in October when beaten just a length and three-quarters by the odd-son favourite.

He didn’t run badly when fourth on his second outing, at Kempton and he should be there or thereabouts in today’s contest.  Martin Dwyer, who rode him on his debut, is back on board and while 2/1 looks plenty short enough, if money talks, he should go close.  The Simon Crisford-trained Shamlahar looks a big danger.
