Lucymai – runs in a Listed contest at HQ
LUCYMAI and WOTADOLL go in search of black type when contesting the Listed Fillies and Mares’ contest at Newmarket (4.50pm) over 6f and both face difficult tasks for different reasons.
The former is rated 103 and deserves to take her chances on ratings but all her seven wins have been on the all-weather and all bar one have been over 7f. She may appreciate better ground than she encountered in a Listed contest at Ascot last week but she is still up against it under regular pilot Jack Duern. She’s a 33/1 shot and may be overpriced for each-way purposes
Wotadoll is only rated 61 and is 150/1 under Robert Winston. The owners may enjoy a day out at Newmarket but this modest 4yo filly by Harbour Watch will be outclassed.
A more likely winner is either Aidan O’Brien’s Different League or John Gosden’s Perfection, the mount of Frankie Dettori.
